Viable Cities – ett strategiskt innovationsprogram med en mission: klimatneutrala städer 2030 med ett gott liv för alla inom planetens Viable Cities is a Swedish innovation programme for climate transition in cities. The aim is to accelerate the transition to inclusive and climate neutral cities by 2030 with digitalisation and PED adheres to the belief that the capitalist economy needs to be controlled and subject to compensatory measures to avoid steep social inequality, and the attendant marginalization of large shares of the population, abate its impacts on the environment, and assure its long-term survival by alleviating its economic crises and tendencies towards Cities with the ambition to develop PEDs will be welcome to join a networking activity to identify common dimensions of PEDs across Europe as the basis for national PED certifications and mutually learn from PED pilot activities, e.g., funding models, digital planning and capacity building. The European Positive Energy Cities will be PED Innovation Ateliers are first being established in the two Lighthouse Cities and then also in the six Fellow Cities. The PED Innovation Ateliers are set up in a self-sustaining way, so as to enable them to live beyond the lifetime of the ATELIER project. This work package is led by TNO.
